Opinions: Becoming Unfuckwithable - Primal Optics

The more visible you become in the public eye. The more you will be criticized for your opinions. Maybe you’re wrong, perhaps you’re right. I like to let the results and facts make that determination. Otherwise, it’s just two people arguing outlooks while ignoring the evidence. I say all this to say that if growth is what you seek. Be prepared for the attacks. They’re going to come from all directions because true growth is against the grain and that discomforts a lot of people. You have to become unfuckwithable.

Growth is always talked about but rarely truly pursued. It’s dreamt about but seldom planned for, and that’s a truth that hurts people when they live in comparison mode. When you live in comparison mode, you start to care more about other people’s opinions and life views than you do your own. You’ll end up just agreeing with everyone even if you don’t because you’re afraid your view might hit a nerve, and God forbid some polarity.

You will end up creating and talking about what they want rather than what you feel inside. Eventually, you’ll look in the mirror, and you won’t even recognize who you are anymore because you’ve drifted so far from your authentic self to please everyone but you. The only way to get back to you is to stop caring so passionately about everyone else’s opinions. You’ll never please everyone. Never. So don’t get too bent over the critics and accept it.

Dr. Sues said it best. “Be who you are and say what you feel, because, in the end, those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter.”

This idea people have that you’ll miss out on a friend or customer by being who you are or saying what you feel is true. People will indeed choose not to be your friend if they disagree with your views. They will indeed decide not to buy from you if your beliefs don’t align. But people are going to do this either way regardless if you censor your true self attempting to please them or not.

If you are real people are going to hate you for it.

If you are fake people are going to hate you for it.
If you are black people are going to hate you for it.
If you are white people are going to hate you for it.
If you are gay people are going to hate you for it.

If you are broke people are going to hate you for it.
If you are rich people are going to hate you for it.
If you are stingy people are going to hate you for it.
If you are giving people are going to hate you for it.

No matter who the fuck you choose to be, someone’s going to hate you for it.

You Must Become Unfuckwithable.

Will you get MORE friends and customers by neutralizing yourself? Sure, it’s possible, but they won’t be people you resonate with because you compromised who you are to appeal to them. So do you want to miss out AND lose yourself in the process, or would you rather just miss out occasionally? Missing out will happen either way, but at least with option B, you can be confident knowing you’re real with people and real recognizes real…

In my experience. Most people appreciate someone keeping it real even if they disagree a lot more than they enjoy being lied to and finding out later on down the line. Some of my best friends (And customers) today are people who completely disagreed with me initially. Weird how things work out over time when you tell your truth… Again, your truth could be wrong, and that’s okay. We all are occasionally. If someone disputes your truth, let the results and data decide who’s right or wrong. Screw all this opinion debating. Just look at the facts and focus on your actions rather than what someone else thinks of you or what’s going on in the world.

If you continue to gain more friends than foes, you’re probably on the right track. If your message is hated or criticized more than it’s shared, you might need to get some perspective. Either way the judgment decides to fall, don’t let it stop you, and don’t let it force you to shield yourself by silencing your truth. If you are ever proven wrong with data, take a step back and analyze and own your mistake. Suppose it’s just someone’s opinion. Don’t waste too much of your time. They bear the burden of proof, and it’s not your job to convince anyone of shit, but if you care about persuading people, do it through results and let them waste time debating opinions with someone else. Become unfuckwithable, and you will unlock new levels of power in your life!
